Introductory words by Ambassador Stancanelli

The main intention of the Seminar "John Fogarty" is to provoke an exchange of opinions and to facilitate the conditions for a productive feedback to take place.

This blogspot is intended to present the Seminar, to serve as a unificator center of information and to provide organizational data.

I am fully convinced that the works of the 70’s represented a valuable exercise to identify similarities and disparities in the evolution of Australia and Argentina in the last two centuries. A new endeavour following and building up on the previous experience may help academic institutions and the respective governments to visualise how the two countries have evolved in the last twenty years and the way they are prepared to face the challenges ahead. At the same time it may constitute an appropriate forum to provide for suggestions on governmental policies in the medium and long-term.
