Organization. Data

Date: 26-27 April 2007 and first quarter 2008.

Venue: The University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and the Australian National University (ANU). The First Session of the Seminar will be helded at the Industrial Union of Argentina -Avenida de Mayo 1147, Buenos Aires, Argentina-.

Duration: Two days in each respective venue.

Assistance: reserved to participants and to invited people.

Documents: Preliminary and definitive papers to be prepared and presented by academics and professionals selected for participation, among them, the proffessors who had intervened in the previous exercises of the 70’s and 80´s. Preliminary papers to facilite discussions should be delivered no later than the 10 of April 2007 and the definitive papers 30 days before the last session in the ANU during the first quarter of 2008.

Discussions: By panels of three or four experts (officials, business people, politicians, and academics) who will intervene following the introductions of the papers commenting on them and on the issue under discussion.

Publication: A book to be published on the second semester of 2008 should conclude the process. It would include the papers presented and the summary of the discussions held at the seminars.

Financing: On equal parts by the participating universities, which could apply for the sponsorship of institutions that are interested or connected with the evolution of mutual relations between Argentina and Australia.

Coordination: A coordinator from each of the participating institutions should be appointed as soon as possible. The coordinators would be responsible for all the organizational tasks leading to the Seminar, including the identification of the participants who will prepare papers, the reception and printing of the papers, the selection of the panelists and so forth. The universities involved should provide all the necessary clerical assistance to facilitate the discharge of the coordinator’s duties.
